Top New Jersey team launches boutique firm at Side

A top-producing New Jersey team is making the move to Side. The Long Beach Island-based Freeman Group announced Wednesday that it was leaving REMAX at Barnegat Bay to launch a boutique firm, Freeman & Company, at Side. 

The six-person team is led by owner and managing partner Edward Freeman. In launching the new firm, Freeman and his agents will be joined by Drew Guarino and his four-agent team known as the Guarino Team. Guarino and his team were also previously brokered at REMAX at Barnegat Bay.

In 2024, the Freeman Group recorded 83 transaction sides for $177.32 million in sales volume, according to RealTrends Verified data. This performance was strong enough to earn the team the No. 2 in New Jersey spot among medium sized teams for sales volume on the 2025 RealTrends Verified Rankings. The Guarino Group closed 12 transaction sides in 2024 for $22.92 million in sales volume according to RealTrends Verified data.

As part of this launch, Freeman & Company is opening a second office in Beach Haven. The firm’s expanded footprint now covers all 18 miles of Long Beach Island.

Freeman’s move to Side marks the expansion of the brokerage’s presence in New Jersey, after it first entered the state last September.
